Sacrifices Pleasing to God: Contentment

Two evils that hinder the believer's duty to continue brotherly love are moral uncleanness and covetousness. This message deals with the second. The apostles urges the reader to be free from the love of money (philargyria, love of silver, in contrast to philadelphia, brotherly love). The remedy for covetousness is contentment. True biblical contentment comes when we trust the promise of the Jesus that "I will never leave you nor forsake you."
