The LBCF of 1689 - Ch 6, Para 1, Part 2

Proposition 1 revisited
o Having a rational soul, capable of reason and judgment.
o The head of Eve – his perfect complement and helper
o Placed in an environment that perfectly suits his nature and his vocation.
Resulting Assertions:

  1. Adam's original state was intended to be temporary
  2. Adam's original state could be improved.

Proposition 2. Therefore it is logical (and as we will see in paragraphs later on, biblical) to conclude
o Adam's state before the Fall was probationary,
o Either he had to rise to the position of Luke 20:34, or
o Fall to the position of Genesis 6:5.

Proposition 3: Our first parents were subject to Law, with real blessings are real consequences.
