Christ's Kingdom Comes

We begin a new Lenten series this morning using the Gospel of Matthew's account of
our Lord's passion (or suffering). Matthew covers in detail the last few days of Jesus'
earthly existence. With His Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem our Lord begins a
confrontation with the Jewish religious leaders which will impact all of the Jewish people
and result with His own death on Calvary. Thus begins the culmination of God's great
plan of redemption.
In our Scripture this morning we learn of:

1. A detailed prediction of Jesus' death.

2. A purposeful fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy.

3. A powerful proclamation for the Jewish nation.
