Will We Serve the Lord?

The People gathered at Schechem heard the call to forsake their idols and serve the Lord, they also heard Joshua's famous declaration: 'But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD' and then they responded by affirming that they too would heed the call to faith in God and serve and obey the Lord.

But did they live up to their commitment? And just as importantly, considering that we make that same profession whenever we come to the Lord's Table - will we live up to it?
