Key points of the Lesson:
We walk by faith and not by sight.
The Jews sought freedom from the authority of Rome.
Jesus came to free His people from sin, not from all earthly authority.
He surpasses all earthly authorities.
He suffered.
He was marred.
He was the perfect, sinless sacrifice.
He covers the sin of all the nations.
We should be astonished at His love towards us.
We should be astonished that He lived a sinless life and subjected Himself to such suffering.
We should be astonished that He came to redeem us to Himself to live with Him forever.
We are servants to sin no longer.
We are His servants.
We are to honor Him by living as much a sinless life as possible.
