Series Ephesians
The union of husband and wife images the union of Christ and His church. On this side of eternity, we will never completely understand the mystical union of Christ and His Church. Yet, inasmuch as we can comprehend it, it sheds light on the husband-wife relationship. Husbands are to love their wives and should help their wives in the process of sanctification.
