God Is Not Made In Your Image

Sermon Point: Don't bring God down to your level; He is not made in your image.

Outline:

1. Although God is a Spirit without body, parts, or passions, His image is impressed upon you and me (Genesis 1:26-27).
2. Since God is a personal, spiritual, rational, moral, immortal being, so are you.
3. Since God has true knowledge, righteousness, and holiness, Adam and Eve did also (Colossians 3:10, Ephesians 4:24, WSC 10).
4. God can share knowledge, holiness, righteousness, and truth but God cannot share other attributes (WSC 4).
5. Because God is unchangeable and made you changeable, sin originates in man (WCF 2:4).
6. Because God shares certain attributes with you, you are made in His image; He is not made in your image.
