The Nature of the Resurrection Body

What we believe about the resurrection impacts and shapes the way we live now.

Foundational to the denial of the resurrection is a denial of the God who could and would do what He has said. In particular, as relates to His sovereignty, power and authority over all creation.

Scripture identifies the person who denies the greatness of God in His person, plans and purposes as a 'fool.' The fool does not take into consideration the knowledge and revelation God has given.

Paul is not attempting to prove the resurrection to unbelievers, but is giving evidence of the resurrection to believers. Moving from the plant world, to the animal, to man, to the heavenly realm, he uses illustrations of life. In the course of nature, as God directs, there is both diversity and similarity.

Each of the seeds has a body of its own that is related to its kind, and yet that 'body' the seed produces has great diversity from it as well. Such comparison will then be made between the human body that dies and the glorified body that is resurrected.
