1 Peter 2 -Part 14 - Preparation for Suffering

As the tide turns against believers in this nation, it is good to remind ourselves of what is expected of us and what has been provided for us, so we may be prepared if and when we come under intensified persecution for Him. This is a study of the need to gird up the loins of our minds in preparation for suffering for our Lord. The lesson is that we are to be prepared in our minds for suffering for Him and our confidence is not to be in the things of this life but in the sure things of our hope in all His promises to us when He comes back for His body the church. Peter calls us to holiness in all our behavior. Because Israel rejected their Messiah, the church has been given their place until the fullness of the gentiles has come to faith in Christ, after which, all true Israel will be saved as they see Jesus truly is their Messiah. God’s future for these Jews will be wonderful and glorious. Here we look at passages in the Old Testament where God clearly states that He is not done with the nation of Israel. The gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable!
