Communion of the Saints: Examples and Picture of Humility and Unselfish Service

Since Phil. 1:27, Paul has been exhorting the Philippians to strive for a blessed unity characterized by humility and unselfish, sacrificial service. Chapter 2 closes, then, with a glorious picture of that unity as three specific examples--Paul, Timothy, and Epaphroditus--are given of that humility and unselfish, sacrificial service. There is nothing on earth like the communion of the saints in the local church.
