How to Understand What the Bible Says

More than 300 prophecies were fulfilled in connection with the first coming of Christ. Hundreds of others will be fulfilled in connection with His second coming. When we talk about biblical prophecy, we come to an area that divides among even those who claim to be Bible-believing Christians. And sometimes I am asked how come Christians who claim to believe the Bible have so many different opinions regarding future things. The issue is how do we interpret the bible. The beginning point is very simple, God created us to communicate with one another and with him verbally. And so it's just foundational as we talk about interpreting the scripture that we follow certain basic principles of language and communication. And when we depart from that, we bring in confusion.
