Sacrifices Pleasing to God: Compassion

The sacrifices that we offer to God (12:28) are seen in what we do. The apostles tells us to "let brotherly love continue" (13:1). We do this by Christian hospitality (13:2) and Christian compassion (13:3). Hospitality is using one's resources, possessions, time, and personal involvement to supply, comfort and encourage others in fulfilling their calling and service. Compassion is being Christlike, demonstrating through the Spirit the heart of God in this broken world.
