God Is the First Cause

Now, the 1st cause is who in this story of Nebuchadnezzar? Yes, you are right, it is God. But Nebuchadnezzar was living his life as a confused man. He thought of himself as the first cause, when he was only a man, the 2nd cause. Yes, he did have sovereignty and a dominion, but it was something that had been given to him by God, and not only Nebuchadnezzar but all men need to acknowledge this. God rules in the kingdom of men, and he gives positions of rulership to whomever he chooses. Let me ask you now whether you believe this? For if you do, it will be a matter of comfort and encouragement to you to know that God has all people, no matter how wicked, under His sovereign providential governance.
