A Guarantee of Things to Come

The Apostle Paul says we groan in our present existence, longing for the fullness of redemption. This greater, future reality is something Christians look forward to with confident expectation for God has given us the Holy Spirit as His guarantee that He will finish what He has begun. It's the presence of the Holy Spirit that bridges the gulf between the present age and the age to come, the "already" and the "not yet."
