Acts 5:12-42

The Apostles are arrested but God delivers them. The reprobate leaders of Judaism are blinded by their love of power and do not even acknowledge the hand of God, but seek to use brutal force to silence the early church. We will examine the insight given to us in God's word and look closely at the political pragmatism of Gamaliel and how some apologists and well-intentioned believers actually quote Gamaliel in defense of Christianity. This is a serious error. But we will close by considering the attitude that we should have, '...rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.'
