The Miracles at Jesus’ Death: God’s Testimony That Christ Is the One Sent

In this sermon, we consider how these supernatural events function like divine credentials, testifying that Jesus is no ordinary man and His crucifixion is no ordinary death. We explore how the darkness symbolizes both the evil of the moment and the judgment of sin, and how the "light failing" points to the Light of the world willingly stepping into the darkness we deserve as our Substitute. The passage calls us to respond like those who witnessed the cross: not as spectators, but with reverent faith, repentance, and trust in the Savior who laid down His life for sinners.
