Pearls Before Pigs

Since unbelievers cannot perceive the precious ethics of God's Kingdom, we are to be discerning about what we proclaim.

I. The Sermon on the Mount is about Kingdom living in a fallen world.
II. Kingdom membership comes from humble faith in Christ (the poor in spirit).
III. Jesus gives precious truths about how Christians should live and relate to others (Kingdom ethics).
IV. If we preach Kingdom ethics to the world, before (or instead of) Kingdom membership, there will be a fierce backlash.
V. Christians should be discerning about our message to the world.
