Only Begotten

The promised king, the messiah, is a unique person. The sure mercies of David will be fulfilled in one who is the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. He will be conceived of the Holy Ghost. He will be very God and very man, two natures in one person. He will be born of a virgin and be holy. He will be without sin. He will not be affected by the sin around Him and He will not have the guilt of sin. As our innocent Savior, He will be uniquely qualified to save us.
