The Ministry and Impact of Preaching Christ (part 1) | Luke 3:1-6

Here is the message and emphasis of John's preaching. It was not a message of social justice, cultural transformation, political activism, or religious rituals. It was a message which every person in every age and every culture needs to hear: the King is coming; prepare to meet your God; behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world; repent for the kingdom of God is at hand; turn from your wicked ways; turn from your efforts to save yourself; come to the Lord Jesus Christ and you will receive forgiveness of sins; and give yourself entirely—mind, body, soul—to the service of your Savior King.
