Renewing Our Minds

In this sermon Brother Doug brings out how that Paul opens up the section of application in Romans 12:1 - I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service, and be not conformed to this world or present age.

We come the section of the Book of Romans dealing with the application to Christian living, or our Christian Ethics. The exhortation of Paul here, within these next verses summarize the response to God's grace and serve as the introduction for all of Romans 12:1 through 15:13. They encapsulate what it means to live in a way that pleases God. Paul moves into the third command of these two verse. Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind. This indicative truth shows us the vital importance of the Word of God.

• For our daily Christian living, in being transformed by the renewing of our minds through his word.

• For this Spiritual Warfare which every believer is engaged in.

• And for obedience unto our God, who loved us and gave himself for us.
