Why Pray? Intercession

Why Pray for others? Why do we intercedede for others?

A) Sometimes prayer is the only effective weapon against the enemy. There are times when God has ordained only prayer to be effective in life's difficulties. (Exodus 17:8-16)

1. Intercessory prayer forces us to admit our weaknesses.
2. Intercessory prayer forces us to rest on the Rock.
3. Intercessory prayer forces us to receive help from the Body of Christ.

B)Sometimes prayer is the only way God's kingdom advances. (Luke 7:1-10)

So how are we to pray? What should be our attitude in intercessory prayer?

1. We pray in humility.
2. We pray in submission.
3. We pray in faith.

C) Intercessory Prayer transforms us to be like Christ.
