God is Spirit

GOD IS SPIRIT
TEXT: John 4:1-26; Hebrews 1:1-3

SUMMARY: In order to worship God in spirit and in truth, we must recognize God, especially as manifested in His Son, in all of His spiritual, eternal majesty: He is the Spirit who creates, the Spirit who speaks, and the Spirit of who redeems.

I. HE IS THE SPIRIT WHO CREATES.
A. The Creator of All Things.
B. The Sustainer of All Things.
C. Christ, the Creation, and the Passion.

II. HE IS THE SPIRIT WHO SPEAKS.
A. “God…” ― the One who IS.
B. “Has spoken…” ― the One Who SPEAKS.
C. “… to Us…” ― the One Who Speaks to US.
D. “… by His Son...” ― the One Who Speaks to us through the WORD.

III. HE IS THE SPIRIT WHO REDEEMS.
A. The Object of True Worship.
B. The Author of Salvation.
