Religion Behind the Mask

What does wearing a mask have to do with worship? Mark 7:1-13 uncovers Mark's only use of the word "hypocrite" but the term occurs often in the other Synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark and Luke). It's never a good thing! What does wearing a mask have to do with living the Christian life? Let's examine three points from this text: i.) The Pharisees worshiped behind a mask (vv.1-5); ii.) Jesus came to rip off the mask (vv.6-13); iii.) You need to remove your mask!
