Look unto God

The Epistle of Jude opens with a declaration of the shared, unifying salvation found in Christ, which transcends all human divisions and is grounded in God's grace alone. However, the letter swiftly shifts from this unifying truth to a stern warning against false teachers who pervert grace into license, denying Christ and undermining the faith once delivered.

In response, the author calls believers to earnestly contend for the faith while simultaneously exhorting them to build themselves up in holiness, to pray in the Holy Spirit, and remain in God's love. The sermon emphasizes a transformative shift in focus: from fear of heresy and spiritual danger to a confident, worshipful gaze upon God, the only wise Saviour, whose sovereignty, power, and faithfulness provide both correction and comfort.

This divine perspective, rooted in Scripture and prayer, enables believers to face any crisis with hope, knowing that God is able to keep them from falling and present them faultless before His glory, making all their struggles and efforts meaningful in His eternal plan.
