Reigning for a Thousand Years

Rev 20:4-6 - Reigining for a Thousand Years
I. Where are these Thrones?
II. Who is sitting on these Thrones?
III. What is the nature of their Reign?
IV. What are the First Resurrection and the Second Death?

Differing millennial views do not justify deep divisions between believers. We can cheerfully serve together despite differences. We are called to love one another in Christ with grace as those by grace bought by blood of Christ.

But it is an important issue, and Revelation 20 is pivotal for the different views. So we intend to slowly walk through Revelation 20 in four parts.

  1. Rev 20:1-3—Binding of Satan for 1000 Years
  2. Rev 20:4-6—Reigning of Saints w/Christ for 1000 Years
  3. Rev 20:7-10—Final Battle of Gog and Magog after 1000 Years
  4. Rev 20:11-15—Final Great White Throne Judgment

This sermon looks at Rev 20:4-6 where the scene shifts from the millennium of the Church/Gospel age on earth (vv1-3) to the same age in heaven (vv4-6). Like all of Revelation is meant to be, there is great encouragement here for the Christian to rejoice and persevere and great warning for the non-Christian to repent and believe.
