It Is Better

In this message from 1 Peter 3:16–18, we confront the cost of following Christ and settle the question: Is it worth it? When obedience brings misunderstanding, pressure, or suffering, Peter reminds us that it is better to suffer for doing right than for doing wrong. With a guarded conscience and our eyes fixed on Christ—the Just who suffered for the unjust—we learn that faithfulness may not be easier, but it is better. In righteous suffering, we find deeper fellowship with our Lord and greater reward than compromise could ever offer.
