The Offense of the Cross

The message of the cross requires humility, no compromise, and obedience. If we preach anything else, the offense of the cross has ceased. That is not good news for us. We must not reject the true gospel because people are offended. However, we must not needlessly offend others and cause them to reject the true gospel.
