Leprosy of the Body, Clothing and Home

Leprosy, among other things, rendered the Old Testament believer unclean and unable to enter the tabernacle to worship or even to live in community. Unlike most other causes of uncleanness, leprosy made a person unclean perpetually - until the leprosy was healed.

But no one today worries about leprosy - so what relevance does this passage have to us?

When you consider the underlying cause of leprosy - sin - and the fact that this same cause underlies every other disease and disaster in our world - then this consideration of leprosy and how Jesus bears away its sting is entirely relevant to our generation.
