Beware the Dogs! (False and True Circumcision)

The subject and emotions change abruptly with chapter 3 of Paul's letter to the Philippians. Paul transitions from loving exhortation to harsh warning, as he sounds the alarm against the Judaizers.

The Judaizers would insist on the external works of the old covenant as necessary additions to Christ and for salvation. Paul contrasts this false Christianity of the Judaizers (v2) with the true Christianity of a circumcized heart (v3).
