It's the Little Things

Rest, refreshing, renewing...

Restoration for the witness and work.

Just came back, gathered them and took them away.

Why?

Remember when Jesus, after healing the leper, in Mark 1:40-41, Luke 5 tells us that Jesus slipped away for some PRIVATE TIME with His Father. THIS move and ministry of His, teaches us a great deal about His effectiveness in public ministry.

Public ministry FOR Jesus requires private moments WITH Jesus.

Remember this:

Public ministry FOR the Lord requires private moments WITH the Lord. Public work should be birthed out of private worship. Public wars are won through private walks with our King.

This is what He was doing with them!

But the demands followed them...

The demands for the servant of God are never ending. They will always be another WHATEVER, WHEREVER, WHOEVER and WHENEVER.

They were starving

They were spent

Now they must serve

Rowed against the wind (straining)

Storms still come
