4 God is Unchangeable

When I ask, "What is God?" I am leading us down the path of the essence of God. What are God's attributes? What makes God God? This is why the Westminster Divines asked what instead of who. They sought to answer what God is, before they answered who God is. The single verse we are beginning with is Hebrews 13:8, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." Because God is Tri-unity. Because each of the persons of the Godhead is fully God, what is true of one, must be true of each. So if Jesus is the same, unchanging, then so too must the Father and the Holy Spirit be unchanging. Scriptures can be categorized into at least for different supporting arguments: 1) chronology; 2) perfections; 3)omniscience; and 4)immutability.
