Fear of the Church

In Joshua 5 the Lord prepared both the land and His people for victory in Canaan.

The Canaanites heard the news of what God had done and they were afraid.

In the age that we live in, does the World fear God today?

In the age that we live in, does the Church at large fear God?

In the age we live in does the Church have a reverence for God?

In the age that we live in does the World have reverence for the Church?

In the age that we live in does the world ever fear the Church?

In the age that we live in does the world ever fear our message?

In the age that we live in does our message and our lives permeate society?

Do we make society feel uneasy today about it’s immorality?

Does the World’s heart melt for fear today because of God’s Work in the Church?

Does the World fear our message?

Does the World fear our prayers?

Mary Queen of Scots is reputed to have said this “I fear the prayers of John Knox more than all the assembled armies of Europe”.

When was the last time that you heard that someone feared the prayers of a Christian?

When was the last time that you heard someone in fear of the preaching of a pastor?

Does the World today see the Church doing great exploits for God as they did in the past?

Israel had to rely on the presence and power of God in enemy territory.

Does the World hear and see today that God is working for us and in us?

God went before Israel, the enemies in the land feared the people of God, because God in His power worked through the nation.

If the Church in Australia feared God today, then possibly Australia would fear God today.
