Faithfully Watchful in Tribulation

Mark 3:14-23 sounds like Jesus is talking about the final tribulation and the day of judgment. But could it be that Jesus is using typical prophetic language to describe something else? Could it be that Jesus is sovereignly and pastorally shepherding His people for the days ahead? As in all prophecy, we need to look for the main point and as we do so, we will find hope, peace, and comfort for our days.
