Dear Philippians

Paul wrote Philippians from prison. It is a letter of tenderness and thanksgiving and showed how deeply he loved them because they stood by him in the Gospel. This is the opening salutation which is infused with theology that shows us much about how Paul saw himself, the church and how he saw our relationship to God.
