Living for the New Day

Since Christ is returning, we need to be governed by the nature of that coming Day "where righteousness dwells" and were evil and death are disallowed. The arrival of this new Day is certain because God cannot break his promises, so we should wait patiently for it. Meanwhile, in Christ we experience the presence of the future. The present evil order will be destroyed, therefore we should not be attached to it. And in order to speed the day of Chirst's coming, Christians should live a holy lifestyle and preach the gospel to all nations for when all the elect have been gathered in, then the End will come, a Day of Judgment for the ungodly but a Day of Redempetion for God's people.
