In the midst of the promised eradication of the Davidic Line, Isaiah prophesies about a New David who will come forth from the stump of Jesse. It is this King's rule that the remnant desire. He will be wise, mighty, and fear the LORD. He will bring an Edenic peace to His kingdom. He is the banner for His people from every tribe, tongue, and nation.
