I AM part 19- I AM the True Vine

We look at the seven I AM statements from Christ. These attest to His Divinity. They are tied to the I AM of Exodus 3:13 where God reveals his name to Moses. This the name of God who is delivering the Israelites from slavery in Egypt. Jesus reveals himself in the Gospel of John through seven I AM claims of who he is. This week we see that Christ is the True Vine. In the John 15 passage it seems like on first reading like he is saying that you can lose your salvation. We look at on other scriptures that assure us of our salvation once we believe. Some Christians struggle with assurance of salvation, it is a real struggle for some. We look at a long summary of passages from John Bunyans's book Grace Abounding to the Chief of Sinners to see the raw anguish of a man of God as he struggles with assurance of his salvation.
