Waiting on the Other Side
Series The Book of Hebrews
Waiting on the Other Side. Hebrews 10:35-37;James 1:12 KJV Waiting is an unavoidable part of the Christian life, but how we wait reveals the condition of our faith. In this message, we are challenged to examine what we are waiting for and how we are waiting. God calls His people not to passive resignation, but to confident endurance rooted in His unchanging promises.First, Scripture reminds us that waiting requires patience. Believers are warned not to cast away their confidence, because faithfulness in doing the will of God will be rewarded. Patience is not simply enduring time, but trusting God while remaining obedient, even when the promise seems delayed.Second, our waiting is anchored in the sure promise of Christ's return. The Word assures us that "He that shall come will come, and will not tarry." Though the wait may feel long, God's timing is perfect, and Christ's coming is certain. This hope strengthens us to remain steadfast in a world filled with trials and uncertainty. Finally, the message points to the reward of faithfulness. Those who endure testing with faith and love for the Lord are promised the crown of life. What waits on the other side of endurance is not loss, but blessing—proof that God never forgets the faithfulness of His people. While waiting, we can focus on growing in our relationship with God, serving others, living with hope, remaining patient, and sharing the love of Christ with the world. These actions not only honor God but also reflect His kingdom as we wait for the ultimate fulfillment of His promises.
