Joshua Takes Charge

INTRODUCTION: Moses was now dead and Joshua had to accept that fact and take his role as Israel’s new leader. God commissioned and encouraged Joshua in the great task he had to perform and Joshua took the first steps in leading the Israelites into the land. God had already let it be known that He expected Israel’s faithfulness, loyalty, and obedience to be directed toward Joshua and the people affirmed their loyalty to him.

CONCLUSION: God uses leaders, and He also uses followers. At some point, everyone is one or the other. The life of Joshua demonstrated that great followers make the best leaders. Learn to follow and you will learn to lead.
