When God Takes

Some people go through tragedy in life and it breaks their faith. They're either left with a faith in shambles or with no faith at all.
But friends my prayer is that what God might do in your heart through this message and series in the book of Job will prepare you to suffer well and to come out like Job – with a renewed awe and love for the greatness and glory of God even in the midst of unimaginable suffering. And my aim today is that you leave here knowing that the sovereignty of God over the suffering of His people empowers us to face whatever trials and tragedies we might experience with deep abiding hope in the person and work of Jesus Christ -- the true Job, the better Job. That's our big takeaway from this opening chapter in Job.
