Who can separate us from Christ?

Cliff Cooper's main message and application is that as believers in Christ, we are secure in our salvation and cannot be separated from God's love, even in the midst of troubles, persecutions, or death. He emphasizes that our trust must be solely in Christ Jesus, and not in ourselves or external circumstances. Cooper uses Romans 8:35-39 to argue that no one can separate us from the love of Christ, not even tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril, or sword. He also highlights that suffering is a part of being a Christian, but it does not mean God has forsaken us. Cooper emphasizes that our security in salvation comes from God's work through the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and not from human effort or performance. This understanding should lead to a greater focus on Christ's love and our response to it, rather than our own feelings or actions. As believers, we are called to live by faith, not sight, and to rely on Christ's love for us, which constrains us to love Him in return.
