Revelation Lesson 5 Message to Sardis & Jesse James the Baptist

This is lesson five in the study of Revelation with Dr. James M. Phillips. Dr. Phillips continues with church history during his classes on The study of the book of Revelation. He comments during this class a very interesting part of history in early American Baptist. The outlaw Jesse James was actually a deacon in Baptist churches and his father Robert James was a very educted man holding a masters degree and a misssionary Baptist preacher. Robert James helped found 5 different churches in the state of Missouri which exist to this very day. Many of these people in these churches tht knew the James family helped protect Jesse and his gang from church to church. What an interesting and little known story of early church history in America.
