Series The Sayings of the Savior
Seeing the Old Testament with New Testament eyes is critical to understanding the Gospel. In this division of Romans, Paul is defending justification at, by and in connection with the Cross as a sovereign act of God. He turned to the OT to illustrate the truth. He quoted from Exodus 9 and 33. Clearly by God's own choice, Moses was an object of mercy while Pharaoh is an object of hardening judgment.
