The Fourth Empire

Most commentators agree that there is a change of timeframe and subject at verse 36. This sermon shows that the chapter doesn't continue speaking about Antiochus Epiphanes, but rather, as John Calvin argued, it is speaking about the fourth empire in Daniel's prophecy, namely, the Roman Empire. Furthermore it shows that the idea of the Antichrist dominating the world at the end of time has no basis in Scripture.
