Prayer of Repentance

Idea: Redemption depends not on human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy.

Intro: Having declared the wrath of God, then the mercy of God, Isaiah comes to understand what Paul says in Romans 9, that redemption can't come from our will, but depends on God who shows mercy. Thus Isaiah leads us to pray for mercy!

Note the words Isaiah uses to describe God's people who look to Him for mercy.
