Cleansed by God

All of us want to present ourselves the best we can to God; ironically, it is those very self-cleaning actions of ours that most threaten to prevent us from embracing the good news that we are cleansed by God. God even cleanses us from our self-cleaning actions, which actually had soiled us further.
