Words, Grace, and the Glory of God (Eph 4:29)

Words matter to God. He spoke the creation into existence, and He spoke His Word to us that we may know how to speak to Him. Because words matter to God, words also ought to matter to us. In Ephesians 4:29, Paul gives us a formula for how we are to use our words: not one corrupt word should come from our mouths, but only that which will build up, is fit for the occasion, and gives grace to the hearers.
