Keep Picking Up and Passing on the Faith (Olivia Van Leuven's Vows to Full Communion)

This sermon is part one of a two-part series on the occasion of our church's next baptized covenant child taking vows to mature into full communicant membership status and begin taking the Lord's Supper as she has improved upon her baptism. The first 36 minutes is the sermon; the rest of the time is Olivia's vows and singing, praying, and the benediction that follows.

In Psalm 116:12, 14, a Psalm proclaiming all the benefits of the Lord loving his people, David returns his love to the LORD by formally, thankfully professing to have been and to be one of His people in front of all His people.

God has been good to extend His favor to you as a member of His family. It is good for you as a member of God's family to return the favor of affection. The way you must return the favor to God is by making formal vows to His covenant family. Keep Picking Up and Passing on the Faith.
