How should biblical Christians view so-called "exemplary sermons?" In other words, is there a place for studying Old (or New)Testament texts with the intent of learning from the examples of the text's subjects? First Corinthians 10 seems to answer the question in the affirmative. In this sermon we begin a 16 part series called "Tragic Lapses." We begin by considering the pitfalls of, the precendent for, and the profit in biblical case studies.
