Signs in Heaven of Israel and Satan

The Old Testament background for the first great sign in heaven is in Genesis as previewed by the second dream of Joseph. The woman in the great sign gives birth to the Messiah. The woman has other children besides the Messiah. The woman is nourished by God during the last half of the tribulation. The woman is persecuted by Satan during the last half of the tribulation. These are some of the reasons for coming to the conclusion that the woman in Revelation 12 is the nation of Israel.
